Dr. Leah Lind-White, L.Ac

OWNER, BOARD-CERTIFIED ACUPUNCTURIST

Dr. Leah Lind-White is a board-certified acupuncturist and Chinese medical doctor based in Santa Cruz, California. A proponent of medical pluralism, Leah strives to integrate traditional medical approaches and conventional care methods for musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunction through the practice of sports medicine and orthopedic acupuncture and adjunctive therapies. Her style of acupuncture relies on relevant research and advanced anatomical study, with emphasis on postural and functional assessment, muscle motor point needling, electrical stimulation, myofascial therapy, and corrective exercise instruction.

Leah completed her Doctorate (DACM) and Masters (MSTOM) degrees at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, which included 4,800 hours of clinical and didactic training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and biomedical sciences. Leah also completed her post-doctoral study in Sports Medicine Acupuncture, which included over 350 in-person hours of advanced study and is currently the highest level of instruction available for licensed acupuncturists in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and injury.

Leah has worked in a variety of clinical settings as part of multidisciplinary teams in both in-patient and out-patient settings at UC San Diego Medical Center and Rady's Children's Hospital. She has also worked as a primary care provider in rural Nepal.

When not working, Leah is an avid mountain biker and San Lorenzo Valley resident. She is often out exploring the beautiful trails of Santa Cruz County with her dog, Tulah.

Mikaela Minoggi, CMT

CERTIFIED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Mikaela is a dedicated licensed massage therapist and Santa Cruz County native with a passion for helping people improve their mind-body connection, treat chronic pain, and improve daily physical performance. She has graduated from both San Francisco School of Massage Therapy & Bodywork and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she completed her B.S. degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science with continuous fascination for human anatomy and overall wellness.

Receiving massage therapy has always been a helpful tool for improving her own understanding of the body and healing process, consequently becoming a major factor in choosing this career path.  After graduating from San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork, Mikaela has been utilizing a combination of relaxing swedish along with therapeutic sports massage techniques for a holistic and individualized approach to each client. Within her sessions, her techniques include compression and range of motion assessments, swedish & deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point release, pin and stretch, passive ROM, PNF, traction, and mobilization. Whether you are seeking preventative care, deep and targeted work, improving athletic performance, chronic pain treatments, or just overall relaxation, Mikaela will ensure those needs are met in each session.

During her time away from work, you will likely find Mikaela enjoying her time outside (preferably sunny out) going for walks, running, surfing, and biking. As a huge fan of rest and recovery, she will also be often found in the kitchen cooking, listening to music, stretching, and dancing.
